The Jeep Wagoneer was a concept that was designed by Willys-Overland Motors in the early 60s. Back then, Willys-Overland Motors was owned by Kaiser Jeep Corporation. This was followed by 3 speed Chysler A727 automatic transmission.
The length, width, height and curb weight of the vehicle stood at 186.4 in, 74.8 in, 66.4 in and 2,050 kgs respectively. The first Jeep Wagoneer was designed by Brooks Stevens and the later editions of the SUV were named Jeep Gladiator, Jeep Honcho and Jeep Cherokee. Cherokee was the biggest hit of the market when it was unveiled and car aficionados around the world are still looking for a Cherokee.
In 1991, 1560 Jeep Grand Wagoneers were manufactured. The last Jeep Wagoneer rolled out of the company warehouse on June 1, 1991. The time period from 1987 to 1991 are known as the model years. The Jeep Wagoneer might have gone out of production but it still has a huge following among car lovers.
